Review: Hawke by Anise Storm

Image
Hawke by Anise Storm Previously published in 2019, "Hawke" has been updated with a new POV and some expanded scenes. Arrogant. Sexy. Reminiscent. I felt all three about my newest client. The moment I met the sexy club owner in need of a party planner, I soon realized why. He was the one responsible for the most mortifying night of my life just one year earlier. The faceless Dominant who had me thrown out when I was at my most vulnerable. Beautiful. Innocent. Submissive. I knew the gorgeous blonde was off limits. The moment I realized our connection, I was determined to hold her at arm’s length. She’d gotten under my skin once, but never again. That was much easier said than done once passion erupts between us at the masquerade party. Addictive. Obsessive. Dangerous. As I deny my growing attraction for Charlotte, someone much more sinister develops his own deadly obsession with her. Will I be able to conquer my own demons before my potential future is taken away

Review: Playing Hard to Get by Monica Murphy

Image
Playing Hard to Get by Monica Murphy Knox Maguire is the king of our college campus. Star offensive tight end on the football team. He is the complete opposite of me in every way. I'm quiet. He's loud. I'm shy. He's definitely not. Everyone loves him. No one knows me. Fresh out of a breakup, I don't really trust him, and why should I? Knox is the ultimate player. When I become his English tutor, I tell myself we need to keep things between us strictly business. Watching my mother deal with my ex-athlete father long, long ago taught me to stay far away from that type of man. Yet Knox is impossible to resist. Next thing I know, we're getting hot and heavy in the library—and that was never part of the plan. When Knox admits he can't stop thinking about me, I have a realization. I can't stop thinking about him either. Instead of keeping my distance, I pull him in closer. Until somehow, we're spending all of our time together and I find mys

Review: For nEver by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Image
For nEver by Aurora Rose Reynolds From New York Times & Wall Street Journal bestselling author Aurora Rose Reynolds comes a brand new romantic comedy about a girl who understands how short life is, and a man who quickly learns there are things way more important than money. I had no idea that taking a temp job for the summer would send my life into a tailspin, but that’s exactly what happened when I started working for Jace Ellis. One day I was his secretary and the next I was sitting on his private plane, wearing an obnoxiously large engagement ring, after he asked me if I would pretend to be his fiancé for one week. I can admit that greed got the best of me. But the money he offered in exchange for my lie would help not only me, but my mom out tremendously. I just had no idea what I was actually getting myself into. I didn’t think about the fact that we would be sharing a bed, that we would have to pretend to like each other, and I sure didn’t know that I would be s

Review: Quarterbacks Don’t Fall For Invisible Girls by Emma Dalton

Image
Quarterbacks Don’t Fall For Invisible Girls by Emma Dalton Every invisible girl deserves to be seen. I’m the Invisible Girl. No one at school knows I exist, least of all star quarterback Brayden Barrington. What sucks is that I have a major crush on him. What sucks even more? He only has eyes for my dad, a college sports recruiter. When Brayden concocts a plan for us to fake date so he could get close to my dad, of course I say yes. Massive crush, remember? With the help of the new friends I make at my school’s book club, I can navigate this confusing path of pretend. Sort of. Not really. I’m not the one pretending, but I’ll end up with the broken heart. Because Brayden and I live in two different worlds and he’d never in a million years choose a girl like me. Or would he? Quarterbacks Don’t Fall For Invisible Girls is the first book in the Invisible Girls Club, a sweet YA contemporary romance series. If you like invisible girls who snag the boys of their dreams, this bo

Review: Cross Check My Heart by Mikayla Christy

Image
Cross Check My Heart by Mikayla Christy Sometimes good things happen when you least expect them. Or in this case when you move halfway across the country to get a fresh start. Lilly: I just needed to get away. Away from my ex. Away from my family who believes he could do no wrong. Away from everything I thought I knew. Dominik: I just needed to get away. Away from the grief. Away from the life I’ve always known. Away from the person who took everything from me. Neither knows how to move forward or if they are making the right choices. But after a fun and steamy filled weekend, the connection between them can’t be ignored. Even if it goes against the rules My Review: My rating: 5 of 5 stars this book is fantastic I love it and I cannot wait to read more by the soccer this author is actually one of the tiktoker I followed before she even became an author.
