Review: Undeniable by Jenna Hartley

Image
Undeniable by Jenna Hartley Connor is my opposite in almost every way. I’m a bookworm; he’s a bodyguard. I have trouble speaking up for myself; he’s direct, brash even. But the more I get to know my new pen pal, the more I see beneath the former navy SEAL’s tough exterior. He’s a hero, and he’s hurting. But he’s also so much more than he gives himself credit for. It doesn’t matter that we live on opposite sides of the country and have never laid eyes on each other. We talk every day, sometimes for hours. Our attraction is undeniable, and our growing connection is becoming impossible to ignore. But when Connor asks to meet, I can’t help but worry that our chemistry won’t be enough. That I won’t be enough. * Undeniable was previously published as a 40,000 word novella, Unwritten. It has since been expanded to and reimagined to a full-length novel of over 70,000 words, though the feel of the story remains the same. My Review: My rating: 5 of 5 stars This is an arc review pro...

Review: Hawke by Anise Storm

Image
Hawke by Anise Storm Previously published in 2019, "Hawke" has been updated with a new POV and some expanded scenes. Arrogant. Sexy. Reminiscent. I felt all three about my newest client. The moment I met the sexy club owner in need of a party planner, I soon realized why. He was the one responsible for the most mortifying night of my life just one year earlier. The faceless Dominant who had me thrown out when I was at my most vulnerable. Beautiful. Innocent. Submissive. I knew the gorgeous blonde was off limits. The moment I realized our connection, I was determined to hold her at arm’s length. She’d gotten under my skin once, but never again. That was much easier said than done once passion erupts between us at the masquerade party. Addictive. Obsessive. Dangerous. As I deny my growing attraction for Charlotte, someone much more sinister develops his own deadly obsession with her. Will I be able to conquer my own demons before my potential future is taken away ...

Summer Sundaes on the Boardwalk by Georgina Troy Hold on to the feeling of sunshine at the seaside with this gorgeous romance, perfect for fans of Holly Martin and Jo Thomas.   When Sacha Collins, cafe owner and sundae-maker extraordinaire, meets Italian archaeologist, Alessandro Salvatore in Rome, she's grateful to him for being her tour guide. Now he’s turned up in the seaside village where she lives and is setting up a gelateria in direct competition to her retro Summer Sundaes Café. She's only been running her café for two years since taking over from her father. Until now the only other shops on the boardwalk have been a wool shop, an antique shop and a second-hand book shop. These have helped rather than hindered her custom. How will her creative sundaes made from fresh Jersey ice cream compete with his delicious Italian gelato? Sacha is worried. Is there enough custom for both businesses to thrive? Who is behind the strange changes being made on the boardwalk? And when t...
