Review: Finding Him by Mary Ann Weir

Image
Finding Him by Mary Ann Weir Thoreau Jones, 15, has had a terrible life since his older brother left Gray Shadows. His parents constantly remind him that it's his fault Emerson took off, just like it's his fault for being "retarded." If only his brain wasn't so broken, Mommy Daddy wouldn't have to "fix" him every day or keep him locked in a cage in the attic. When his parents finally give up on him, they ship him off to Five Fangs with the warning that Emerson will either keep him or kill him. Thoreau knows his brother won't want him and can only hope that his death will be quick. However, it isn't death that awaits the sweet boy at Five Fangs, and the Moon Goddess has more blessings in store for him than he could have ever imagined… My Review: My rating: 5 of 5 stars I really enjoyed this book I read the posy series 1st and then I went to This one And I highly recommend reading them in the same order I did All of them al...

Review: Mates: Posy: Book One by Mary Ann Weir

Image
Mates: Posy: Book One by Mary Ann Weir Posy Briggs, the runt of Green River, turned eighteen years old alone in a dark room, whimpering from the pain of her latest beating. After her mother's death six years ago, her father turned her into his punching bag, taking all of his sorrow and rage out on her small self. He isolated her from her pack, turned her older brothers against her, and put her wolf into a coma with an overdose of wolfsbane. Posy's sure she won't live to see her next birthday, yet every morning she rises with the sun and hopes for something to change - and it finally does when Alpha Kendall Briggs' madness draws the attention of the Werewolf King. He sends five alphas to investigate. Five alphas who burst into Posy's life with the most delicious scents she ever imagined... Review: The Runaway Mate by Kira Nightingale

Image
The Runaway Mate by Kira Nightingale After what he did, I never wanted to see my fated mate again… Mai Four years ago, Ryan Shaw broke my heart, tore it into little pieces and then stomped on it. Ryan is my fated mate, but when I saw him with another woman at the regional meet of all the Packs, I’d had enough. I finally told him what he meant to me, and being the jerk that he is, he rejected me in front of everyone. Heartbroken, I ran, trying to get as far away from him and the memory of that night as possible. Except I’m on a roll with picking jerks. So now I’m on the run again and heading back to the one place I know I’ll be safe. My brilliant plan is to lie low, heal, and then take off someplace new to start again. But Ryan knows I’m here now, and he has very different ideas. Ryan Mai is back, and my wolf is going crazy. I’ll do anything to protect her. It won’t be easy with secret plots to take over our Pack, her abusive ex sniffing around, and Mai’s urge to run every time s...

Review: Feral Sins by Suzanne Wright

Image
Feral Sins by Suzanne Wright When female wolf shifter Taryn Warner first encounters Trey Coleman, an alpha male wolf shifter with a dangerous reputation, she’s determined to resist his charms. After all, Trey—who was only fourteen when he defeated his own father in a duel, winning the right to be alpha of his pack—can’t have anything to offer the talented healer besides trouble, or so she thinks. Taryn finds herself drawn in by Trey’s forceful demeanor and arctic-blue eyes, and she eventually agrees to enter an uneasy alliance with him. If the two succeed in convincing their respective packs that they’ve chosen each other as mates, Trey will win valuable political allies, while Taryn will escape an odious arranged mating. But there are a lot of potential pitfalls to this plan—including the very real possibility that the wolf shifters, overwhelmed by their growing attraction to each other, will be unable to maintain the clear heads needed to pull off the deception. Review: The Heir Apparent's Rejected Mate by Cate C. Wells

Image
The Heir Apparent's Rejected Mate by Cate C. Wells He rejected me for “reasons.” Too bad for him. No take backs. Rosie Fate made a huge mistake when she mated me to Cadoc Collins. He’s the heir apparent. I’m a scavenger. My people are so low in this pack, we don’t even rank. I should have known better, but for one night, I let myself forget the facts of life in Moon Lake. Cadoc Collins might be powerless to resist me, but he’s not going to claim me, either. A pink line on a stick makes it a much bigger problem than my bruised heart. I’m eighteen, knocked up, and publicly rejected by the future alpha. And this baby in my belly? It might as well be a target on my back. Lucky for me I’m a scavenger. My kind are good at finding things, but we’re great at getting lost. Cadoc The fate of Moon Lake rests on my shoulders. I can’t claim the scavenger female. The pack is on the verge of a revolt, and a mating so controversial could push our warring factions into open conflict. ...

Review: The Tyrant Alpha's Rejected Mate by Cate C. Wells

Image
The Tyrant Alpha's Rejected Mate by Cate C. Wells He rejected me, and then he realized I’m the center of his world. Bummer. Una I keep my head down. In this backwards pack, females rank low, and my bad leg makes me damaged goods. It doesn’t help that I’ve never shifted. I don’t mind the late twenties single life, though. No one’s paying any attention as I build an illicit farmer’s market empire. My roomies and I are doing it for ourselves, and if life under Killian Kelly is stifling, at least it’s predictable. We can deal. But when biology finally kicks in, I lose my mind. I claim our alpha as my mate. And he rejects me in front of the whole pack. It’s all good. It only hurts when I breathe. I’ll survive. That’s what I do. Who wants an arrogant jerk for a mate, anyway? I’ve got a business to run. Killian To lead this pack out of the dark ages, I’ve had to be hard. Merciless. I don’t flinch, and I don’t make mistakes. Una Hayes isn’t my mate. My wolf might have some ki...
