Review: Riggs by Sandy Alvarez, Crystal Daniels

Image
Riggs by Sandy Alvarez   Crystal Daniels Abel LeBlanc, better known to his brothers as Riggs - President for The Kings of Retribution MC, Louisiana Chapter. As a former Green Beret, he runs the club with the same amount of precision and grit he did serving his country. Dedicating years of his life to mercenary missions, and to his club left no time or desire to settle down and start a family of his own. What good could come of loving a woman if he could never promise her forever when he willingly puts his life on the line every day. No one has ever come close to making him want more. No one until Luna. A call from Jake; President and founder of The Kings of Retribution has Riggs and his men on the road toward Montana. Their objective - protect a woman from falling into the hands of another MC. Little did he know when his eyes fell upon the striking woman with violet eyes, she would alter his life forever. Growing up in the system is hard enough for any kid. For Luna N...

Dear Phoebe by Danielle Keil Everyone at Ryder High knows what it means to have a teal envelope taped to their locker on the first day of the month. The envelope is part of a tradition called the Secret Admirers, something the students go crazy for. After tragedy struck, no one thought there would be an admirer this month. However, a little late, a teal envelope shows up on Phoebe Calloway’s locker. And with it, an ongoing playlist to use as clues toward the admirer’s identity. It’s music to Phoebe’s ears—especially since music is her biggest passion. But she soon finds out it’s not the melody that’s important in the songs her admirer chose. It’s the lyrics. Review: Face Off by Chelsea Curto

Image
Face Off by Chelsea Curto Emerson (Emmy) Hartwell has waited for a spot on an NHL roster since she became a professional hockey player, and this season, she’ll finally get a chance to showcase her talents with the struggling D.C. Stars. Maverick Miller is the best player in the league, but he’s never had a winning record. Team captain and desperate to turn things around, he agrees to play nice with the fiery new left-winger even though they’re total opposites. After a night where the tension between them reaches a tipping point and they fall in bed together, Emmy and Maverick vow it was only one time. Just once to get it out of their systems so they can play better and help their team. It doesn’t mean anything. She doesn’t date hockey players. He’s a notorious playboy who doesn’t date. Period. Except… what should’ve been just once happens again, then again. They tell each other their friends with benefits arrangement is only for the season, but despite facing off on the i...

Review: So Right by Abby Millsaps

Image
So Right by Abby Millsaps An emotional, steamy, why choose romance from bestselling author Abby Millsaps. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. Spence swore he had a plan. He assured us he had everything under control. He promised we could trust him. What he forgot to mention? His so-called plan was actually an emotional bombshell with enough force behind it to destroy us all. Technically, his plan worked—my mother and stepfather have ended their campaign to convince me to be a living organ donor. But the emotional damage and mental load of his big announcement has created a ripple effect throughout our cohort. Greedy  is haunted and despondent. Levi  is initially shocked, then filled with shame. Sione  is simply annoyed because he knows this is all a ruse. Spence  is stoic but more determined than ever to ensure our safety. As for me? I feel it all. Every sorrowful reaction and warranted frustration thrums through my veins. But there’s something else the...

The Pucking Wrong Man by C.R. Jane Whoever heard of a homeless ballerina? Everyone in my life has always disappointed me, but NHL hockey star Camden James says he never will. We meet, and then in a single blink, he’s made me his roommate, promising me I don’t have to worry about anything ever again. They call him a hero, and that’s what I desperately need. I remind myself it’s all temporary. That I shouldn’t get used to it. But he has other ideas. Camden tells me he’s obsessed, that he’s going to change my life, that he’ll never let me go. But as more time passes, I wonder if it’s going to take a villain to get me my happily ever after. And Camden James just might be the right man for the role. *Note: Camden James is a morally grey antihero who is obsessed with his girl and will do anything to keep her. This is a darker hockey romance. The Pucking Wrong Man  is a hockey romance standalone My Review: My rating: 4 of 5 stars This book was really good I enjoyed th...
