Image
Brawler by Colleen Charles I never expected my shot at the big dance would lead me straight into the arms of the one woman who’s completely off limits. As the resident minor-league bad boy of Minnesota, I can’t believe it when I get the call every hockey player dreams of.Dante Giovanetti wants me to replace the legendary Cash Hale on the Venom. But it turns out that it's not the lights of Vegas that blind me—it's Layla, Latham Newberry's sister, and her precious toddler, Violet. I understand the bro no hitting on a teammate's sister. But the more time I spend with Layla, the harder it is to deny the fire that burns between us. And the very real feelings she sparks inside me. When her past comes back to haunt her, I know I'll have to step up my game and prove my love is stronger than any rivalry. Because Violet and Layla need me. And now it’s my job to protect what’s mine My Review: My rating: 5 of 5 stars I really like this book are you enjoying it to s...

Review: Caught Up by Liz Tomforde

Image
Caught Up by Liz Tomforde Kai I’m a single dad and starting pitcher for Chicago’s MLB team. I’m stretched too thin, but I don’t want help raising my son. Each of his previous nannies only lasted a few weeks before I let them go. Now, my coach is putting his foot down by hiring the one person I can’t fire—his daughter. Miller Montgomery is the last woman I should fall for. Too wild, too young, and too unattached. Chicago is just a quick stop for her. I thought I’d be counting down the days until she left, but summer feels too short when I start thinking about forever. Miller As a high-end pastry chef who recently won the most prestigious award in my industry, I’m desperate to prove I deserve it. But with a new title comes new pressure, and I can’t create a fresh and inspiring dessert to save my life. With only two months to get back on track, I should be focusing in the kitchen, but instead, I let my dad talk me into using my time off to nanny for his star player’s kid. Ka...

Review: Undeniable by Jenna Hartley

Image
Undeniable by Jenna Hartley Connor is my opposite in almost every way. I’m a bookworm; he’s a bodyguard. I have trouble speaking up for myself; he’s direct, brash even. But the more I get to know my new pen pal, the more I see beneath the former navy SEAL’s tough exterior. He’s a hero, and he’s hurting. But he’s also so much more than he gives himself credit for. It doesn’t matter that we live on opposite sides of the country and have never laid eyes on each other. We talk every day, sometimes for hours. Our attraction is undeniable, and our growing connection is becoming impossible to ignore. But when Connor asks to meet, I can’t help but worry that our chemistry won’t be enough. That I won’t be enough. * Undeniable was previously published as a 40,000 word novella, Unwritten. It has since been expanded to and reimagined to a full-length novel of over 70,000 words, though the feel of the story remains the same. My Review: My rating: 5 of 5 stars This is an arc review pro...
